Sangrur, July 15
A student of the Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) allegedly committed suicide last night in his hostel room by hanging himself from the fan. The police have registered a case and started further investigations.
The deceased, Mukul Kumar Chauhan was the student of B.Tech and hailed from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
A few students said when the deceased did not open his room this morning, they tried to open it from the rear side. But they saw his body hanging in the room from the window.
“He has committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan of his room. We have registered a case and started further investigations,” said ASI Raghuvinder Singh.
