Entrance exam for meritorious schools on April 21

Chandigarh, April 5

Admissions to Class XI in 10 meritorious schools will be based on a written examination scheduled for April 21.

The results will be declared on May 1, an official spokesperson said here today. Only students from government schools are eligible for admissions to these schools except a few specified exceptions.

General category students having 70 per cent and above and SC/ST students having 65 per cent and above can apply for admission in commerce, medical and non-medical streams.

These 10 schools for meritorious students run by the Society for Promotion of Quality Education for Poor and Meritorious Students under the school education department are located in Amritsar, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur, Ferozepur, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Patiala and Sangrur districts. Registration of students will commence from April 6 onwards. The result will be declared only on the website ssapunjab.org. — TNS
