EWS certificates through e-sewa portal started

The district administration has began issuing income and property-related certificates to facilitate the economically weaker section of the general category through e-sewa portal, so that they may avail the benefit of 10 per cent reservation in jobs and admissions for economically weaker section of the general category. The beneficiaries will have to apply for income and property certificates on Sewa Kendaras. All the Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars have been directed in this regard, said Deputy Commissioner Parshant Goyal.

The DC said beneficiaries had to file self-attested affidavit to get the income and property related economically weaker certificate. If facts are concealed in the affidavit, strict action will be initiated against the defaulter. — OC
