Jasmeen Kaur, daughter of a farmer from Bholath, stood second with 97.85 per cent marks in the Class 10 exams of Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), the results of which were declared on Tuesday afternoon.
A student of Shishu Model School, Jasmeen Kaur, while speaking to the Tribune said she has decided to take non-medical stream in Class 11 and wants to be a software engineer.
She said, “I am the eldest among three sisters and looking at the advancement of science and technology, I am interested to become a software engineer.”
“Even I want my sisters to take the non-medical stream and become great scientists one day,” she said.
Banking on the support of her father Sukhveer Singh, she said, “My father is my role model, he always stood by me, and today I am feeling very happy as I have made him proud.”
Sunil Sharma, principal, Shishu Model School, said, “Jasmeen has made the school as well the whole of Bholath proud today. We wish her success in the future.”
