Fatehgarh Sahib man killed in Mandi firing

Fatehgarh Sahib, June 20

Tanwinder Singh Harry (27) of Attewali village was among four persons who were killed in a firing incident following a clash between two groups of workers at IIT, Kamandh, 18 km from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, this morning.

The victim’s family members were still in the dark as news about the death of their son had not reached them till late this evening. Neither the Himachal police nor any administrative official informed the family about the incident.

Taranjit Singh, Harry’s father, said his son along with his friend Baljit Singh Lovely had gone to Mandi three days ago for a business dealing. He said they had not received any news about their son.

Confirming Harry’s death, Gurmeet Singh Randhawa, SSP, said one person was killed from the district. Randhawa said other three persons killed in the incident were Tejinder Singh of Phagwara, Simarjeet Singh of Kharar in Mohali district and Jatinder Singh of Samana.
