Gangster Sukhpreet Singh Budha, the ringleader of the Devinder Bambiha group, on Saturday announced on his Facebook page that he had murdered gangster Rajinder Kumar Goga at Manuke village in Nihalsinghwala on Friday evening.

Budha claimed that he had taken revenge for the murder of his “brother” Beant Singh, former Akali sarpanch of Manuke village, who he alleged was killed by Goga on April 5, 2017. However, the court had acquitted him of the charge on November 14 this year.

He said whosoever caused harm to his group members would meet a similar fate.

He also warned local political leaders not to oppose his candidates in the ensuing panchayat elections.

Buddha was earlier an associate of the Devinder Singh Bambiha gang but after Bambiha’s death in an encounter in 2016, he joined hands with Vicky Gounder, who fled away from the Nabha jail by that time.

He killed a youth of his village on March 20, 2011. He was arrested and convicted by the court on the charge of murder on August 5, 2015. In 2016, he jumped parole, after which he was declared a proclaimed offender.

On January 17, 2017, he killed a businessman in Dabwali. His gang comprises Bittu of Mehal Kalan village, Mangal Singh of Dhurkot Tahlian village and Harsimranjit Simma.

The former Akali Sarpanch of Manuke village, Beant Singh, was arrested by the Moga police on December 5, 2012, in the murder case of former Akali MLA Malkit Singh Keetu.
