Goraya man murdered in Philippines

A pall of gloom descended today on Pasla village, near Goraya, on hearing the news of the brutal murder of a village man in Philippines yesterday.
According to a report received today, Pasla village resident Kulwant Raj (43) was shot dead by some unidentified assailants in the Turlock town, near Manila, in Philippines yesterday. The deceased was in the finance business and was going to his office when he was shot dead.
Kulwant went to Manila six years back. He is survived by his widow mother, wife Jasbir Kaur and two sons Arvind (14) and Gulshan (6), who are residing in Pasla village.
The body was cremated in Manila this afternoon, his family members said.
