IAS officer opts for VRS

Chandigarh, August 8

Senior IAS officer Navreet Singh Kang (1983 batch) has taken voluntary retirement. Kang was repatriated to his parent state, Punjab, last month and was posted as Special Chief Secretary, Planning.

He joined on Monday. Kang has been appointed Chairman of Punjab Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). He had also served as Director General of the Central Government Health Scheme. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
