Power Minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar directed Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) and Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL) to provide quality, affordable and uninterrupted power supply to the consumers in the state.

The minister chaired a meeting of PSPCL and PSTCL officials on Tuesday.

While reviewing the working of both the power wings, the minister directed the officials to further improve the quality of power supply in the state. A joint presentation was also made about the overall working and various initiatives being taken by both the corporations.

Various issues, such as improvement in the generation, transmission and distribution system and various customer friendly initiatives were discussed at length.

The minister asked the top officers of both the corporations to play a proactive and positive role for the growth and development of Punjab and focus on improving system of power purchase, material purchase and maintenance of stores.
