Amritsar, November 7

Titled as “Japji Sahib – the Light of Guru Nanak for the World”, this 400-page ‘Pothi’ has been bejewelled with spectacular cover of silver filigree and studded with precious gem stones. It would be presented to the SGPC, meant to be placed in the Central Sikh Museum in Golden Temple complex tomorrow.

California-based Jeevan Randhir Singh, who has designed it, said each of the pages had been artistically designed and bordered with original drawings of the respective country’s National Flower that the language represents. Aimed to make its wider reach globally, Japji Sahib has been translated into English, Norwegian, Swedish, Polish, Finish, Dutch, Germen, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Guarani, Russian, Estonian ,Hebrew, Turkish, Malaysian, Japanese and Chinese languages.
