Faridkot, August 28
For two vacant MBBS seats in two medical colleges in the state, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) on Tuesday invited all aspirants and NEET qualified candidates to appear in the counselling on August 31, the last date to make admission to all medical colleges.
This is the fourth round of counselling to make admission to 1,125 MBBS seats in eight medical colleges in the state during the last two months.
In this stray vacancy round of counselling of the NEET UG-2018, those who had registered during the first, second and mop-up round of counselling but were not allotted any seat or those who have surrendered the seat with forfeiture of fee up to August 18, are eligible, said Dr Arvind Sharma, Registrar, BFUHS.
One MBBS seat fell vacant after a student in Government Medical College got a seat in AIIMS and other seat was vacated by a student in a private medical college for he was unable to pay the high rate of tuition fee.
Besides for two vacant MBBS seats, the BFUHS has also invited applications for 229 vacant BDS seats in some dental colleges in the state.
