Moga: A 10-year-old Dalit girl, a student of Class IV, was allegedly raped by a middle-aged married man, Malkit Singh, at Bhagike village in the Nihalsinghwala sub-division of the district. Also a resident of the same village, Malkit kidnapped the girl and took her to his fields where he raped her. When the labourers transplanting paddy in the nearby fields heard the girl crying and asking for help, they rushed to the spot. The accused ran away. The police have registered a case. TNS
