The police today nabbed Jaswinder Singh, a resident of Madhir village, and seized 10 gm of heroin from his possession.
Meanwhile, the Youth Congress activists today burnt an effigy of some senior SAD leaders alleging that the arrested man was the driver of Youth Akali Dal’s Gidderbaha president Birdavinder Singh Tikka.
However, Tikka denied the allegations. He said he had no connection with the accused.
“I don’t use a driver. The accused neither worked as my farm labourer nor had any other connection with me. He, however, has an association with some Congressmen of our area,” said Tikka.
The Gidderbaha police have arrested Jaswinder and have started investigating further.
