Meghalaya youth ends life at LPU hostel

Phagwara, July 13

Suman Kumar, a resident of Meghalaya and a student of B-Tech in Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, reportedly committed suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of a hostel on the varsity premises on Saturday.

SHO, Satnampura, Onkar Singh Brar who rushed to the spot said the youth was in deep depression that forced him to take the extreme step.

The body with multiple injuries was sent to local civil hospital for autopsy. His relatives have been informed and the body has been kept in the mortuary.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
