HPCL to build community centre in Sangrur

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, will spend Rs 60 lakh to construct a community centre at Ambedkar Nagar in Sangrur. It has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nagar Council (NC) and the Public Works Department (B&R) for the same.

The agreement was signed last week in the presence of Sandeep Garg, PA to PWD and Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla, Sangrur NC Executive Officer Ramesh Kumar, councillor Mahesh Kumar, PWD Executive Engineer Vipin Bansal and SDO Ajay Garg. The HPCL delegation was represented by its officers Bharat Kaul, Nilesh Srivastav, Harish Mani and Mehal Mittal. “Besides government funding, the minister is trying to bring in funds through the CSR programme,” said Sandeep Garg, PA to Singla.
