Some activists have approached the Sikh Gurdwara Judicial Commission against 15 persons, including former SGPC president Kirpal Singh Badungar, for endorsing a religious literature titled “Gur Bilas Patshahi Chhevi”, which allegedly contains objectionable content.

Baldev Singh Sirsa and Ajit Singh have filed a petition with the commission under the Sikh Gurdwara Act, 1925.

They submitted that this literature should be withdrawn and demanded action against those who were responsible for printing and publishing it as it contained derogatory reference of Sri Hargobind Singh and other Gurus.

The commission has fixed April 12 as the next date of hearing.

The literature was published by the SGPC during the 400 years of the sixth Guru’s birth anniversary.
