Patiala, January 3
The Patiala police have registered a case of negligent driving against the driver of Orbit Bus Company. A bus hit a man on the busy Patiala-Sirhind road near Faggan Majra village, today evening. Police said victim Nirmal Singh has given a statement following which a FIR has been registered against the driver.
Initially Police said the victim was drunk. However, the victim said he was not drunk and the bus was being driven recklessly.
Nirmal Singh suffered some serious head injuries and till the filing of the copy doctors were contemplating shifting him to PGI, Chandigarh. A case under Section 337 and 279 has been registered against the bus driver and the bus was confiscated by the police.
