As per information, Seerat, who was the prime accused in the Ekam Dhillon murder case in which she allegedly shot dead her husband, stashed his body in a suitcase, placed it in a car and then vanished, has complained to the ADGP (Prisons) that the Jail Superintendent of the New Nabha Jail had called her to his room and after sending the woman constable away, had allegedly sexually assaulted her but she resisted his move and later made a complaint to the ADGP (Prisons) on the phone.

Saini informed that he had gone to Nabha Jail and recorded the statements of all the jail officials. However, I could not record the statement of the complainant as she had gone to Mohali for a court evidence. We will submit the report after recording the statements of everybody concerned and will be doing detailed investigation in the case.

Meanwhile, Seerat’s advocate Manjinder Singh Brar informed that he had even met the DGP (Prisons) on Tuesday in this regard and now they were waiting for the department to complete the probe. “Once we receive a copy of the report, we will decide the future course of action,” he added.
