Jaipur, March 7
Raghuraj Singh, the elder brother of Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore, passed away at a private hospital here on Tuesday. He was 85 and had suffered a stroke a month ago.
The Governor, who landed at the Jaipur airport on Tuesday evening, is going by road to his native village Badnore in Bhilwara district.
Raghuraj was the ‘Thakur’ of 210 villages of Badnore and patron of Ajmer’s Mayo College.
The cremation will take place at 4 pm on Wednesday, the Governor’s son said.
Former rulers of Kota, Udaipur and Pratapgarh are likely to attend the cremation.
