Punjab teacher eligibility test postponed to February

The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test has been postponed to February 11 after allegations that the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) was conducting the exam in a hush-hush manner on December 31.
The SCERT has now started a fresh process for submission of online applications and other activities related to the examination.
A week back, the SCERT had invited all eligible candidates for PSTET to apply online for the test and December 26 was the last date to apply.
For not giving enough time to the candidates to prepare for the test, there was a lot of anguish and allegations that the SCERT were conducting the test in a hush-hush manner
This exam is essential qualification for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the government schools in the state.
