Over three months after suffering a defeat in the Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today announced its new organisational structure in the state, releasing the first list of 39 office-bearers. There are only two women leaders on the list — Palwinder Kaur and Raj Lali Gill.

State AAP co-convener Aman Arora, who was tasked with restructuring the party unit, said: “We have tried to reward good work. For instance, Garry Birring, who had been working behind the scenes for long, is the new organisational building incharge. One of the general secretaries, Sukhdev Apra, was among the leading volunteers during our door-to-door campaign.”

“Most of the women volunteers want to be part of the women’s and district wings,” he added.
