Anandpur Sahib, November 24
A half marathon, “Run for Heritage”, and inter-school and inter-college painting and sketching competition on the theme of “Virasat-e-Khalsa” will be organised here on Sunday.
The museum was inaugurated on November 25, 2011, by the then Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. Over 9.5 million tourists have visited Virasat-e-Khalsa, the world-famous museum of Punjab culture and Sikh history at Anandpur Sahib, during the last seven years.
Virasat-e-Khalsa chief executive officer Malwinder Singh Jaggi said 95.75 lakh people had already visited the museum. “Our mission is to connect the youth with their rich and glorious past,” he added. — TNS
