The two-day third Sangrur Heritage and Literary Festival (SHLF) will start on Saturday with a children lit fest and heritage walk.
Festival director Karanvir Singh Sibia said noted litterateurs and writers of children’s books will conduct workshops and interact with children. They include Norway-based painter and author Elisabeth J Singh, national awardee for children literature Satpal Bhikhi, famous TV producer and script writer Tejinder Harjit and Shikha Sood of Scholastic India.
Vijay Inder Singla, Sangrur MLA, will flag off the heritage walk from the Clock Tower here on Saturday.
A theatre workshop will also be organised by Yashpal, Director of RangShala Theatre Group.
Lifetime achievement awards will be conferred on Justice Surinder Singh Saron (retd) for his contribution to the promotion of ethical values in judiciary and noted columnist on driving and author of “Good Motoring” H Kishie Singh for his dedication to promote safe driving.
