As dense fog is enveloping the state and poor visibility on the roads has led to increase in mishaps and loss of human life, all schools will remain closed from November 9 to November 11, said Paramjit Singh, director, school education department.

In a letter to all circle education officers and district education officers, the school education director conveyed today that the authorities will ensure that the orders are implemented in all government, private, government-aided and non-aided schools.

Despite the closure in all government schools from November 9 to November 11, the supplementary exams for Classes X and XII, starting from November 10 to November 21, will be conducted as per schedule, said Krishan Kumar, secretary, school education department.
