Sikh Council to probe Frankfurt gurdwara clash

Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has entrusted the task of probing the Frankfurt gurdwara clash to Sikh Council UK.

It has been learnt that the council would submit its report to the Akal Takht in a month. Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh said that representatives of the council would proceed to Frankfurt and approach both groups.

They had clashed at Gurdwara Sikh Centre in Frankfurt over the preaching programme conducted by Punjab-based preacher Panthpreet Singh.

The Jathedar has told both groups not to confront each other as their act had already brought shame to the Sikh community.

Few days back, a clash between members of the gurdwara management and taksali leaders took place when Panthpreet Singh was there to conduct the programme. The taksali leaders opposed it as they said “Panthpreet Singh was distorting the Panthic maryada while preaching”.
