Three held for rape, MMS

Three youths were arrested by the Kotkapura police today for allegedly raping a 40-year-old woman and making an MMS of the incident and posting it on the internet.
The accused, Deepak Kumar, Sandeep Kumar and Ravi Kumar of Gandhi Basti, have been arrested on the charges of rape and circulation of the MMS, the police said.
The accused extorted money from the victim for many months under the threat of uploading the clip on internet. However, once the victim stopped paying them money, the accused distributed the video clips among their friends and the clip further found its way to the internet, the police said.
The police investigation found that the accused had harassed the woman’s minor daughter three years ago using the same modus operandi. The girl allegedly committed suicide two years ago. Even after her death, the accused allegedly started exploiting her mother.
