Three held with firearms

Abohar, September 15

Three hardcore criminals associated with gangsters and carrying rewards were nabbed after over a hundred villagers chased and gheraoed them near the Kalu weighbridge point on the Sriganganagar-Bikaner highway on Friday.

They reportedly fired 40 rounds on the mob to flee, in which villager Bhura Ram Saharan (55) was injured. Their accomplice was nabbed few hours earlier.

The police seized three foreign-made weapons, including Beretta 92F semi-automatic pistol, from them. — OC
