VB in dock: FIR in 2016, no challan yet

The Vigilance Bureau nabbed at least 12 government officials, besides three private persons, in August, an official press release said here on Wednesday.
The list included at least five employees of the Revenue Department, four police personnel and three belonging to other departments.
A VB spokesperson said the bureau had submitted 14 challans of vigilance cases in various special courts in the last month. Besides, as many as 11 vigilance inquires have been registered to thoroughly probe corruption cases against public servants.
In addition to this seven criminal cases have also been registered after thorough probe.
Special courts have decided six bribery cases filed and contested by the bureau during last month.
