Verka ghee cheaper by Rs 20 per litre

The Punjab State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (Milkfed) has reduced the price of ghee by Rs 20 per litre. The product is being sold under its flagship brand, Verka.

The consumer pack as well as the bulk pack of Verka ghee, including cow ghee, is cheaper from today, said HS Grewal, Additional Managing Director, Milkfed.

“Farmers’ interest is of utmost importance in Milkfed and 80 to 85 per cent is paid back to the farmer in the form of milk purchase price, annual bonus etc,” he said. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
