Muktsar, December 29

Former IYC chief and Gidderbaha MLA Amrinder Singh ‘Raja Warring’ has courted controversy by allegedly distorting verses of “Hanuman Chalisa” in a tweet on December 23.

Some Hindu organisations and BJP are upset with it and sough action against him for disrespecting Hanuman. Activists of the Brahman Sabha here on Saturday handed over a memorandum to the police seeking action against Warring for hurting their religious sentiments.

Warring, however, said, “I am a follower of Hanumanji and have been to Salasar Dham in Rajasthan more than 20 times. The post is related to the BJP, Yogi (UP Chief Minister). However, some people misunderstood it. If some people think I have hurt their religious sentiments then I seek apology from them, but they should again read the tweet. Even a number of people have retweeted it.”
