Punjabi artistes perform at Law College

As part of the inter-state youth exchange programme, Punjabi artistes performed at Law College in Dehradun today.
Inaugurating the programme, Chancellor of Uttaranchal University, Jitendra Joshi, said such inter-state youth cultural exchange programmes would continue in futureand the university would reciprocate by sending university students to Punjab and other states.
Vice Chancellor of Uttaranchal University Prof SC Joshi explained about the culture of Uttarakhand to Punjab youth and thanked the organisers of the programme. He said the youth from Punjab would visit the historical places of Uttarakhand.
Dr Rajesh Bahuguna, Principal of Law College, said the endeavour of the state government to organize inter-state youth exchange programmes was a revolutionary step. He added in this age of modernisation, “We are forgetting our age-old traidions and culture which constitute the basis of glorious cultural heritage of our nation.”
