PVR, YRF put on notice for not showing Jabra song in Fan

Chandigarh, April 22

A local consumer court today issued notice to PVR Cinemas and Yash Raj Films following a complaint alleging that ‘Fan’, a Shah Rukh Khan-starrer movie, did not contain the “Jabra fan” song.

The court has asked the opposite parties to file reply by May 27.

The complainant had also made the actor a party in the case, but the court declined issuing notice to him as there was no proof of his being connected with the sale and exhibition of the film.

The complainant had sought a punitive compensation of Rs 19 lakh, to be deposited in the welfare fund of the consumer court.

Besides, she sought the return of ticket amount of Rs 2,600 and a compensation of Rs 50,000 for mental torture and harassment for alleged unfair practice. — TNS
