Those looking to buy property in older sectors of Panchkula have been offered a golden opportunity by HUDA. The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is offeringd 43 residential sites in Sectors 2, 4, 7, 9 and 12 of Panchkula on free hold basis through e-auction.
The sites of 6 marla, 10 marla, 14 marla and 1 kanal are being offered by HUDA on ‘As is where is’ basis through e-auction.
Giving information in this regard a spokesperson of HUDA said that the e-auction will be held between 9 am and 5 pm on October 27.

The successful/highest bidder shall be required to remit an amount equivalent to 10 per cent of his quoted bid amount by 5 pm of the day succeeding to final bid closing day, said a spokesperson.
The Haryana Property Dealers Welfare Association, however, has decried HUDA’s move to sell its plots through e-auction.
“This is against the very basis on which HUDA was constituted by the state government. Its aim was to provide affordable housing to common people and not earn profits by selling properties through auction,” said Suresh Agarwal, president and RK Arora, Patron of the Association.
Agarwal said the move will help only the creamy layer and the common people will not be benefitted in any way.
“HUDA doesn’t acquire people’s properties for earning profits. Its aim has to be to provide affordable housing to the common people and not function like a commercial organisation,” he said.
Agarwal said HUDA will benefit from the draw of lots since a large number of people will apply for plots by paying earnest money which will remain with the authority for several months.
