Relief for knee patients

Ludhiana: Partial knee anthroplasty is available in the city for those patients whose knees are not entirely affected by arthritis. A new therapy is being opted for patients with osteoarthritis. Having undertaken a few operations of this kind, Dr Neeraj Bansal, Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement Consultant at Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana said," My method of diagnosing an ideal patient for unicondylar or partial knee arthroplasty (UKA) is by the symptom of "Pointing sign". Patients undergo smaller incision, less bone and soft tissue dissection, early rehabilitation period, less blood loss and lower incidence of medical complication.

Free arthritis camp on July 12-13

Eva Hospital will organise  a two-day free check-up camp for arthritis patients. Joint replacement specialist Dr Tanveer Singh Bhutani will check the patients. Dr Bhutani said that any kind of arthritis pain can become a reason of joints pain and make whole life painful.A facility of discounted tests also will be available. TNS
