Sangrur, June 19

A day before the “bhog” of Fatehveer Singh, who died after falling in a 150-ft-deep borewell in front of his house in Bhagwanpura village, Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has given approval to name the Sunam-Sheron Kainchian to Sheron Longowal road after the late child as a special case.

Though during the collection of mortal remains of child on June 13, his relatives and villagers had announced that they would not allow any officer or politicians to attend the “bhog” of the deceased, but his grandfather Rohi Singh, through a video message, on Wednesday appealed to all to reach the Sunam grain market to pay tributes to the departed soul.

“I request that no one should give any inflammatory speech or statement and we have not stopped anyone from attending the bhog. We request all to attend the bhog on Thursday,” he said.
