“I have two decades of experience at Hisar’s new Lahoria Vidya Mandir private school as an administrator and based on this, I will transform the Board of School Education, Haryana, in the next three months,” said Jagbir Singh, who joined as the new chairperson of the board headquarters here today.
Jagbir, who had been associated with the RSS, said he did not find his new role any different here, as the only difference between an administrator and a chairperson was the student strength.
“There were 2,200 students in the school. Here, they are 22 lakh,” he said.
About his priorities, he said the board would declare examinations result of Class X and XII by May 25 and appoint competent staff to conduct surprise raids during exams to maintain its sanctity.
Ramavtar Sharma, state secretary of the Private School Welfare Association, called on him and demanded to curtail fines imposed on private schools.
