Sadique hurt in car mishap

Former Congress MLA and renowned folk singer Mohammad Sadique had a close shave today when the SUV he was travelling in crashed into a wall after a tyre burst.

The mishap took place at Chenna village in Jaito when Sadique was on the way to another village in an Innova to attend a public function. He was admitted to a hospital in Ludhiana.

Sadique's driver and bodyguard also received injuries. Sadique had won the Bhadaur seat in 2012, but he lost from Jaito this year. — TNS
