Sakshi Malik gets engaged to wrestler Satyawart Kadian

Rio Olympics bronze medallist Sakshi Malik got engaged to Rohtak-based international wrestler Satyawart Kadian at a private ceremony at Sakshi’s home here on Sunday.
Satyawart is son of noted wrestler, Arjuna awardee and Olympian Satyawan Kadian, who runs his own “akhara”.
“It was a small family function and we are glad at the matrimonial alliance. The date of marriage has not been finalised yet as we have to fix the wedding as per the engagements of Sakshi and Satyawart,” Satyawan said.
Satyawart said he knew Sakshi for a few years. “We liked each other and wanted to get married. We are happy on getting engaged,” he said.
Satyawart, born in 1993, shot to fame after he bagged a bronze medal in the Singapore Youth Olympics in 2010. He won a bronze medal in the 2013 World Youth Wrestling Championship held in Bulgaria.
He represented India in the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, in which he won a silver medal. He won a bronze in Asian Wrestling Championship the same year.
