Samba Bar assn condemns border shelling by Pakistan

The Bar Association, Samba, today held a meeting to condemn the unprovoked shelling by Pakistan in civilian areas of Ramgarh, leading to injuries and deaths of civilians.

The members of the association paid homage to the departed souls of soldiers and civilians who lost their lives in the cross-border firing.

Association members led by its president Advocate Mohinder Singh also visited migrant camps at Chichi Mata and Government Middle School, Chatalla Camp, Samba, where the affected people have taken shelter.

People complained about inadequate facilities by the state administration, including ration, medical facilities, milk for minor children and bedding. Members of the Bar Association also provided ration to the victims and assured them to take up their demands with the authorities concerned.

The delegation comprised advocates Raman Chalotra, Rajesh Kumar Bhagat, Vijay Gupta, Rahul Sambyal, Jitender Sharma and Ajay Gupta. The association also suspended its work for the day to pay homage to martyrs.
