Chandigarh, June 14
The men’s basketball team of Sri Guru Gobind Singh College (SGGS), Sector 26, qualified for the Federation Cup main round at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh), today.
In the qualifiers, SGGS defeated BEG Roorkee 97-92, Central Railway 101-95 to enter the semifinals.
It is for the first time that a team from Chandigarh has qualified for the main round of the championship. —TNS
