Amritsar, March 27

The SGPC on Wednesday lodged a complaint against a woman who made a live video at the Golden Temple complex on Tuesday, which went viral on social media.

The Shiromani Committee took a serious note of this as making such videos are banned in the complex.

The turbaned woman also used some offensive language against a community, which has enraged Sikh devotees, who raised objection over it.

Golden Temple manager Jaswinder Singh confirmed that the SGPC had filed a complaint with the local police in this regard.

He said the Shiromani Committee received a number of complaints against the Sikh woman for this irresponsible act.

She had raised questions over the increasing number of non-Sikhs paying obeisance at the holy shrine.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police JS Walia said though he was not aware of it, the police were looking into the matter.
