Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, alleged that apart from government tax, goons charged ‘gunda tax’ from factories, due to which industries were being shifted away from Punjab and no new industrialist was ready to come and invest here.

Sisodia came to the city last night to campaign for AAP candidate from Bathinda (Urban) Deepak Bansal.

He held a meeting with industrialists, traders, contractors, doctors and people from other professions at a hotel.

Manish Sisodia said instead of encouraging trade, political leaders had themselves turned into traders. He claimed that AAP would not allow this practice to continue.

He alleged that the dubious commission taken by unauthorised persons would be stopped and work with transparency and honesty would be encouraged.

He claimed that on the pattern of Delhi, residents would get electricity at low cost and education at schools would also be cheaper.

Sisodia said due to the wrong policies, the standard of education level was declining in the state.

He appealed to the people to vote for AAP to usher in change in the system.

Deepak Bansal claimed that SAD and Congress leaders had looted the hard-earned money of the tax payers, but now, AAP has come up as the third alternative, which was the only hope for the people.
