Smriti Irani to inaugurate new boys hostel at GNDU online today

Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister of Human Resource Development, will inaugurate (soft launch) the newly-constructed boys hostel in the GNDU campus tomorrow from Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.
The hostel has been constructed at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore under the RUSA (Rashtriya Uch Shiksha Abhian) scheme of the Government of India.
Smriti Irani shall be simultaneously inaugurating 10 such initiatives across the country which are supported by the RUSA scheme.
Surjit Singh Rakhra, Higher Education Minister, Punjab, would address the audience online from Chandigarh. Prof AS Brar, Vice-Chancellor, GNDU, would be speaking from the newly constructed boys hostel on the university campus. An interactive session is planned where students shall have a chance to talk to the minister.
Prof NS Tung, Dean, Academic Affairs, Registrar Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Prof KS Kahlon, Dean, Students Welfare, Prof TS Banipal, Director, Research, and other officials and students of the university shall also be present in this soft launch.
