Socialite, philanthropist Parmeshwar Godrej passes away at 70

Mumbai, October 11

Well-known Indian socialite and philanthropist Parmeshwar Godrej, wife of Godrej Group Chairman Adi Godrej, passed away here on Monday night, official sources said on Tuesday.

Parmeshwar, 70, breathed her last at the Breach Candy Hospital where she was admitted recently. No further details were available.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
