Aditi makes cut at Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur: Aditi Ashok shot a two-under 69 that placed her tied-23rd at the halfway stage of the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia here today. Aditi carded five birdies and three bogeys en route to making the cut on Friday. The Indian was some distance behind the leader, Amy Yang, who carded a 69, including a spectacular eagle, to her first round 63 to get to 10-under. The 27-year-old is three shots ahead of second placed Candie Kung of Taiwan, compatriot Mi Jung Hur, and Anna Nordqvist of Sweden, all tied at 7-under par.

Saini wins gold and silver in Commonwealth wrestling
Lifter Shivam Saini clinched a silver in the senior and gold medal in the junior category at the 2016 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships. Competing in the 94kg senior men’s category, Saini bagged the silver medal with a lift of 132 in snatch and 168 in clean and jerk for a total of 300kg. In the junior event, Saini managed a lift of 132kg in snatch and 168 kg in clean and jerk.
