Captain Meraj Sheykh inspired bottom-placed Dabang Delhi KC to a 38-30 win over Bengaluru Bulls in Pro Kabaddi League’s second Inter Zone Challenge Week here today. Delhi’s Iranian captain scored 14 raid points from 21 attempts to hand Bulls their fifth loss on the trot. It is Delhi’s second win on the trot and fourth overall.

Malhotra shocks top seed to enter quarters in Hong Kong

Indian qualifier Vikram Malhotra stunned world No. 20 Zahed Mohamed of Egypt to reach the quarterfinals of the $25,000 HKFC International squash event here today. In the women’s singles, Joshna Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal entered the quarterfinals. Joshna beat Li Sum Yin 11-4 11-4 11-6, while Dipika beat Tang Yan Yi 11-6 11-4 11-9. World No. 62 Malhotra beat Mohamed 13-11 11-7 6-11 11-8.

Tahir expelled by Pak High Commission in Birmingham 

South Africa leg-spinner Imran Tahir, who is also a part of the Faf du Plessis-led World XI side, has claimed he and his family were humiliated by the Pakistan High Commission when he attempted to apply for a visa for the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan. The 38-year-old spinner revealed that he had to initially wait for five hours before he was humiliated and expelled by the staff. “It was only after the intervention of the (Pakistan) High Commissioner that we were issued visas,” Tahir said. — Agencies
