New Delhi, December 22
Gokulam Kerala FC crashed Indian Arrows’ homecoming party, consigning them to a humbling 2-0 defeat as they returned to the National Capital for their I-League tie.
Gokulam came to the match with a simple strategy: press the Arrows’ midfield for space and play on the counter. Arrows never looked in control, especially in the first half when the Kerala boys took the lead, courtesy a header from Daniel Addo off a corner in the 11th minute.
The pattern of play continued in the second half, with the visitors only keen to stifle the playing style of the Arrows.
