Indian Oil Corporation rode on veteran Prabhjot Singh’s brace to put it across a fighting Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) 4-3 in a keenly contested quarterfinal of the Bombay Gold Cup hockey tournament today.

India drag-flicker VR Raghunath and Kothajit Singh got the other two goals for IOC, while PSB scored through Harsahib Singh, Sarvanjit Singh and Mandeep Singh.

PR Ayappa scored two goals as South Central Railways routed local outfit Central Railways 6-3 in another quarterfinal encounter. 

Indian Oil will take on Punjab National Bank, while South Central will meet CAG of India in the semifinals on Tuesday. — PTI
