Khushi Saini today became the second girl from Ropar to win a medal at Asian Shooting Championship in Doha. Three days after Jasmeen Kaur’s gold in the youth girls’ 10m air rifle category, Khushi won bronze in the junior girls’ 10m air rifle category. Khushi scored 228.8 points to finish behind China’s Yan Jinjing (251.8) and India’s Shreya Agrawal (250.6). Khushi, Shreya and Aakriti Dahiya won the team silver. China won gold.

Khushi (Class X) and Jasmeen (Class XI) are students at the same school — Government Senior Secondary School at Jhallian Kalan village in Ropar district. — TNS
