Paes-Begemann blow away five match points to lose final

Leander Paes and Andre Begemann squandered as many as five match points in the second set to eventually lose the summit clash against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Henri Kontinen at the ATP Winston-Salem Open.
Garcia-Lopez and Kontinen overcame seemingly insurmountable odds take the title 4-6 7-6(6) 10-8. Paes and Begemann were 6-1 ahead in the second-set tie-break. But Garcia-Lopez and Kontinen reeled off seven points on the trot to take the second set.
Paes, 43, was trying to win his 56th overall ATP title and make it 20 years in a row with at least one tour-level doubles crown. He was playing his first final of the season on ATP Tour.
Carreno Busta beats Agut
Pablo Carreno Busta recorded his first ATP title triumph by beating fellow Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in the final. Carreno Busta, 25, won 6-7 (6) 7-6 (1) 6-4 in a match that lasted more than two hours 30 minutes.
The 16th seed had previously lost two finals this year. — PTI, Reuters
